Pennywort Alert on the River Great Ouse

Rivercare are offering free Pennywort Alert materials to river based organisations and towns and villages near rivers to help spread awareness, and get more people involved in an ambitious citizen science mapping project.

A huge number of local people use and value the River Great Ouse – and we need your help preventing the spread of Floating Pennywort and reporting any sightings of Floating Pennywort to monitor its spread and react to its presence.

By logging sightings at on iRecord we can all help to monitor the spread of this invasive species, which will help the plan for its control.

We are offering posters for you to display on your noticeboards, and postcards to hand out to regular river users so long as this can be done in a COVID secure way. Click here to order materials.
